Liminal Works Media is an independent development and production company founded by writer-producer Simon Nagel and Manda Comisari. We focus on developing contained, commercially-oriented genre features with an emphasis on strong writing and character-driven storytelling.
We are building a slate of feature projects intended for international production and co-production partnerships, balancing creative ambition with practical financing structures.
We develop projects with production-conscious design and engage with producing partners to explore international opportunities.

Simon Nagel
Writer · Producer
Award-winning screenwriter and author. Graduate of the American Film Institute. His feature screenplay Desert Flower is in early pre-production with Aggregate Films, with Jay Ellis (Top Gun: Maverick) attached for a leading role and Carey Williams (Emergency) attached to direct. His novel Gates to Nowhere received the Black List's inaugural Unpublished Novel Award in Science Fiction/Fantasy. Previous credits include CNBC, National Geographic, and Eli Roth's Crypt TV.
Manda Comisari
Writer · Producer
Published author, award-winning fine artist, and story editor. Graduate of University of Edinburgh. She is a successful entrepreneur, having owned and operated an illustration business for 15 years before moving into publishing and film. Her editorial and development credits include projects with Amazon Audible, CNBC, Row 1 Productions, White Horse Pictures, and Crypt TV. She collaborates across the Liminal Works Media slate on story development, production research, and creative editorial support.
We develop original feature screenplays with a focus on contained, commercial genre storytelling. Character-driven narratives designed for international production and co-production structures.
Detailed script notes and story consulting for writers and producers. We read carefully, respond honestly, and focus on what the story is trying to be — not what it should look like.
Substantive editing for scripts, books, and long-form content. Credits include projects for Amazon Audible, CNBC, Crypt TV, and award-winning published works. We say what we actually think.
We are actively seeking international co-production partners for projects currently in development. We bring complete packages (written, developed, and attachment-ready) to the table.
